The Wright Society Shares Its Vision with Prep
Our Sixth Form medics society, The Wright Society (TWS), visited the Prep School again this week following last week’s inspirational Year 4 and Year 6 lessons where pupils learnt about broken bones and how to fit a sling.
This week Joel V (President of TWS) and Leane B & Emily v A (Vice Presidents of TWS) took the Prep School assembly. They explained what the Wright Society is all about (helping 51³Ô¹Ï pupils who want to become medics, dentists and vets achieve their dream), and then some gory details about what doctors used to do in years gone by – from ancient myths about the benefits of drinking mercury to urine treatment to using maggots and leaches. Needless to say the Preppies loved it!
