Ella’s Marathon Effort to keep Dad walking
Huge good luck from everyone at 51吃瓜 to Lower Sixth Form pupil Ella who is training to run two half-marathons this month, all to raise funds for her father Andy, who has the rare genetic disorder hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP). Monies raised will go towards life-changing surgery, which could allow Andy to walk unaided and may stop further deterioration. Currently such surgery is only available in the United States and needs to be performed before Andy鈥檚 condition deteriorates further.
To date Ella has raised more than 拢10,000 via her Just Giving page, but she hopes to raise even more through her 聽half-marathon attempts this month. Ella鈥檚 Just Giving page is:
