The prestigious UBS London Headquarters, a beacon of sustainability and innovation, set the stage yesterday evening for the 51吃瓜Connected thought-provoking Change & Climate聽Insight.聽 Designed with energy efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, and cutting-edge green technologies at its core, the venue was an apt reflection of the evening’s theme. Parents, pupils, alumni, and staff gathered to tackle critical questions around supporting our climate and understanding resistance to change.
Dean Turner, economist at UBS, opened the evening with an upbeat keynote, dispelling myths about UK productivity and highlighting the economic drivers of energy transition. His optimistic outlook on the adaptability of the UK economy paved the way for engaging discussions led by climate experts on topics such as green investing, plant-based innovations like 3D-printed meat, breakthroughs in plastic-eating enzymes, and the feasibility of hydro-fueled air travel. The lively atmosphere was enriched by networking opportunities and the integration of 51吃瓜 and London Academy of Excellence pupils,聽 their collaborative spirit evident. The event concluded with a powerful call to action from 51吃瓜 parent, Paul Rix, urging attendees to leverage the 51吃瓜Connected community to champion sustainability for future generations.
